A TRAVELING POET OF TRADITIONS

Abstract

The present research paper is about the poetic thought of Shahbaz Danish. He is a resident of Narowal, a border city of Pakistani Punjab. He is related to spirituality and mysticism. He is a poet of traditional style and thought who has not only studied Sufism in depth but also has an awareness of spiritual matters due to his direct connection with Tareeqat. He travels back in time and collects his favorite themes and subjects and presents them in his own style. In his poetry traditional aspects like devotion, discipline and objectivity are described with customization. That is why we call him a traveling poet of Sufi tradition.
