Abstract

Dr. Hassnain Sahir is a renowned Researcher, Critic and Poet. His ten books have been published, which have different literary perspectives. Most of his work in the field of literature is in terms of research, criticism and editing. However, he gained more recognition as a poet. So far, his three poetry collections; “Faseel-e-Jaan”, “Charaghshaar” and “Kalpana” have been published. The first two books consist of Ghazals and Poems while the third book “Kalpana” is a collection of his couplets (Doha). Dr. Hassnain Sahir's poetry is divided into three dimensions; Ghazal, Poem and Couplet (Doha). Intellectual and thematic diversity, musicality and unique language and styles give his poetry exclusivity in the contemporary literary scene. In this paper, an analytical study of his three poetic dimensions is being presented.
