Abstract

This paper is about the social system under English rule before partition. The British government ruled the subcontinent for one hundred and fifty years. During this time, the entire social system of the subcontinent was destroyed, which badly damaged the concept of orientalism. In this paper, Ali Akbar Natiq's novel "Nolkhi Kothi" is critically evaluated, which shows how the British, for the sake of their own interests, changed the centuries-old social system of subcontinet with their hypocritical thinking, policies, and practises. changed from and left indelible impressions of their culture and Bodobash on it. This paper also covers the post-partition social situation, in which there is a mention of the unrest, hatred, self-interest, and cultural decline that arose as a result of the partition
