An Analytical Study of the Thematic Aspects of Hasnain Sahir's ‎Ghazal Collection "Faseel-e Jaan"‎

Abstract

Hasnain Sahir is a prolific modern poet. His poetry is continuously published in the prestigious magazines and newspapers of Pakistan, and also in India. He writes Ghazal, Poem and Doha, but his main lyrical reference is Ghazal. Hasnain Sahir is also considered among the few poets who write a type of ghazal, "Jadid Rekhta". Hasnain Sahir's ghazal is a beautiful blend of tradition and modernism. His poetry has diverse themes. Social Consciousness, Contemporary Chaos and Resistance are special features of his poetry. In this paper, an analytical study of the intellectual and thematic aspects of Hasnain Sahir's ghazal collection "Faseel-e Jaan" is presented.
