Nelibar's Representative Poet: Younis Mateen

Abstract

Younas Mateen is the representative poet of Neeli Bar. Younas Mateen was born on 4^th June 1957 in F-Block, Arifwala. After matriculation Mateen started showing his hand in business with his father. On December 29, 1979 Younas Mateen got married. Younas Mateen is a high example of morals and character. Mateen wrote poems, ghazals and travelogues with great passion. Apart from urdu, he also wrote poetry in Punjabi. Every heart is dear to the public and widely circulated. The presence of Qazi Habib-ur-Rehman, Zafar Iqbal greatly increased the Shairi consciousness of Younas Mateen. Six works of Younas Mateen have been published in 1988. The first poem of urdu literature Safarnama was completed. A poet is sensitive member of society and he is well aware of the surrounding situations and events and accepts deep influence. As he looks around him the countless impressions of the universe become money on his mind. Younas Mateen also wrote poetry on all kinds of thoughts and ideas and on different topics. There is fluidity in his style. Younas Mateen did not use texture in hi poetry. Mateen has used natural style in his poetry. The style of the text is also standard and authentic in a sense.
