Abstract

Punjabi Folklore more particularly its folk songs are a Core part of the Punjabi culture. Forksongs insulates Maahiya, Kikli, Gidda, Jugni, Sammi, dhola, thaal etc. These folk songs are Integralin.The lives of females living in rural areas, these females sing these songsand builds emotional attachments with them. These folk songs connect their lovers with then by heart and soul. These songs also hold symbolic importance. In short, these songs play vital role in Punjabi culture and literature and one can see the true sentiments of females in them.
